The First Conference “Energy Trends: Gas & Petrochemicals” was held on 27th October 2023 in Astana, in Hilton Astana Expo Hotel, under the informational support by KGNT. The event was organized by the Public Foundation “ENERGY MONITOR”, with the support of the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan and NC “QazaqGaz”.
Alexandra Bekisheva, General Director of KGNT, was in charge of the delegation participating in the discussion of new capital projects for production, processing and transportation of gas in Kazakhstan.
At the panel session “New Capital Projects in the Gas Industry”, Gennady Tarasov, KGNT’s Managing Director for Innovation and Marketing, presented innovative solutions, in particular 3S technology for cost reduction in gas processing.
The potential of 3S-technology was discussed as a promising way to reduce the gas industry capital and operating costs.
This Conference has gathered representatives of government agencies, investors, licensors, contractors and financial institutions. This was not just an event for KGNT, but an opportunity to improve its understanding of customers and market development strategies, which will be a key success factor in the future.
On 20 October 2023, an important event in the world of project management took place in Astana and KGNT made a significant contribution to this event. The Company’s CEO Alexandra Bekisheva was a speaker at the forum dedicated to project management with the subject “Best practices and successful cases in managing large capital projects and EPC-contracts”. As part of this interesting report, key aspects were analyzed and highlighted:
✅ Project phases: Alexandra shared important practical insights into how a project evolves from initiation to successful completion emphasizing the importance of each phase.
✅ Ways of addressing challenging issues in project management: KGNT revealed methods and strategies that are considered an integral part of engineering in the Republic of Kazakhstan, ensuring that projects effectively managed and successfully completed.
✅ Phases of a local company’s increasing influence on project management: Alexandra emphasized the importance of local companies in project management and shared how KGNT is advancing in this direction.

KGNT employees visited the Workshop Products and solutions of Phoenix Contact in power engineering and automation. Review of novelties, where they received a lot of new and useful information about products and solutions in power engineering and automation, the latest technological developments, as well as new products that help to improve operations and increase the efficiency of processes.
The workshop was very interesting and informative. There was an opportunity to be introduced to new products and solutions in practice, thanks to demonstration stands and presentations.

In the quarterly mass multi-discipline scientific and production magazine Safety in Industry issued in Q3 2023, an article by KGNT Chief Industrial Safety Specialist Konstantin Malygin was published on the subject “Applying combined cycle gas turbines in generating power and heat”.
Employees of the Control System and Process Automation Department attended Pro Security Conference – an event dedicated to modern technologies in security systems and their practical application to solve specific business problems. The main value of the conference is the comprehensive reports on current topics and unbiased presentation of information. Recognized industry experts, such as developers, integrators, vendors and customers, presented their reports.

KGNT’s top management took part in the XV KAZENERGY Eurasian Forum that the KAZENERGY Association has been holding since 2006. This is the main international event for the energy industry across the Caspian and Central Asian regions, attracting more than 2,5 00 delegates from more than 300 companies and representatives from more than 50 countries.
Over the years, the Forum has attracted influential political figures and recognized experts.
