KGNT’s Obeya

Obeya literally means “big room” or “large space” in Japanese.

Used to improve the efficiency of a project, usually a cross-functional team that develops or improves a product or process.

Now, regular meetings of the entire KGNT team are held in Obeya, thanks to which cross-functional barriers are lifted between members of the project team working in different divisions of the company, communication costs reduced, the level of understanding and quality of interaction improved and, in general, a project is implemented faster the quality of a product under development improves.

What sets Obeya apart from other conference rooms is the use of principles and methods of visual management, a lot of stickers, as well as a task board throughout the room, which is divided into areas of responsibility for each department.

“Obeya” is part of the introduction of the Kaizen system into the company.

Every year we try to surprise our beautiful ladies on the team and this year was no exception. This year’s theme is Red Carpet.

Earth Hour at KGNT

KGNT is involved in the problems of waste recycling and concerned with our planet’s ecological condition. To achieve the strategy “Reduce negative environmental impact”, the Company has set a goal for itself for 2022 – reduce resource consumption by 1%.

In addition to the fact that our head office sorts garbage, waste paper and even used batteries and accumulators, this year we launched the Earth Hour campaign. The idea of ​​the campaign is to turn off the lights and all electrical appliances at lunchtime from 12:00 to 13:00. Thanks to our colleagues who remain committed to the same goals and values ​​as the Company!

Winter Run 2022

A regular winter run of Almaty Winter Run 2022 Marathon was held last Sunday, 20 Febraury 2022. Of course, our KGNT team, as adherents of sports events did not miss the opportunity to participate in the winter race. What came out of it, see for yourself. No one was left without a medal.

We express our sincere gratitude to our runners for their participation, as well as for promoting the idea of vision of a healthy lifestyle among colleagues.

KGNT Head Office has stationery boxes on each floor

Did you know that in KGNT Head Office has stationery boxes on each floor? What are they for?

As we know, KGNT is implementing the KAIZEN system, which means that any processes must be continuously improved. The idea of ​​the boxes is that if you have extra stationery and you do not use it, share it, and colleagues who may need something can always take any of the items in the box for personal use. The boxes installed in the office are optimizing the cost of stationery, introducing culture of sharing with colleagues, and allowing everyone to keep their workplace clean without overloading with unnecessary supplies.
