In September 2020, we celebrate 50 years since the beginning of the engineering and design activities of Salaheden Sartayev, KGNT Chief Engineering Officer – Chief Engineer. Having started his career as an engineer in 1970 at the Norilskproekt design institute in Norilsk, Krasnoyarsk Territory, which was engaged in the design of all objects of the Norilsk industrial region with three large metallurgical plants and worthily passed all stages of engineering and management positions in design and organization design production, Salaheden Sartayev actively participated in the implementation of dozens of landmark projects in the Republic of Kazakhstan and a number of other countries. Salaheden Sartyaev was responsible for design work in the industrial automation system of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Central Asian republics, managed the process of privatization of state property, and was engaged in the design of all ground structures of the airports of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Central Asian republics. He also led the Astana Airport Reconstruction Project, after the transfer of the capital of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Mr. Sartayev’s extensive experience and knowledge positively influenced the coordination of KGNT with engineering institutes in France, Germany, Belgium, USA, and China. In the position of KGNT Chief Engineering Officer – Chief Engineer, Mr. Sartaev directly supervised the design of oil and gas-processing facilities in such projects as Construction of the first integrated gas chemical complex in the Atyrau region. Second phase (Polyethylene Production) and Construction of the first integrated gas chemical complex in the Atyrau region. Second phase (Gas Separation Unit and Product Pipelines) and many others.

Mr. Sartayev enjoys great prestige among professionals of the oil and gas and energy sectors in the Republic of Kazakhstan, countries of far and near abroad, which is evidenced by the Qurmetti Qurılısşı (Honorary Builder) award by the Ministry of Industry and Infrastructure Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Qazaqstan Munayına 120 jıl (120 years of Kazakhstan oil) award pin by the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
