EC “KGNT” LLP has successfully fulfilled its obligations to CATEK GREEN ENERGY LLP (CATEK Green Energy) as part of the Contract for the provision of architectural supervision services for the construction of the“ Astana EXPO-2017 ”100MW wind farm for wind energy conversion”(second start-up complex for 50 MW)

EC “KGNT” LLP has successfully fulfilled its obligations to CATEK GREEN ENERGY LLP (CATEK Green Energy) as part of the Contract for the provision of architectural supervision services for the construction of the“ Astana EXPO-2017 ”100MW wind farm for wind energy conversion”(second start-up complex for 50 MW) (hereinafter – WPP).

The main goal of the Project is to develop the energy sector of the Republic of Kazakhstan by introducing advanced technologies aimed at producing clean energy and strengthening the country’s energy security. Executing the Project contributes to the fulfillment of Kazakhstan’s international obligations to reduce greenhouse gas emissions as part of the Kyoto Protocol to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change as well as initiatives of the First President of Kazakhstan, Elbasy Nursultan Nazarbayev, to form a “green” culture and solve environmental problems through developing green technologies in our Republic.

The wind farm is located north-east of the center of Nur-Sultan city, near the village of Kostomar, Akmola region, Arshalyn district, Bulaksay rural area.

The project provides for placing 29 wind generators designed to operate in extremely low temperatures, produced by one of the world leaders in wind energy – VESTAS, with a total capacity of 100 MW in two launch facilities:

Launch Facility I was successfully commissioned on 26 August, 2019. Each of the 15 wind turbines of the first launch facilities of the Project has a tower 84 meters high and a rotor 112 meters in diameter. The rated capacity of each wind turbine is 3.45MW;

Launch Facility II was completed on 26 November, 2020. As part of Launch Facility II there were installed 14 wind turbines with a capacity of 3.45 MW each with a tower 80 meters high and a rotor 117 meters in diameter.

KGNT Deputy Chief Engineer for Regulatory Affairs, Roman Romanovich Zaitsev, was awarded the KURMET Order

By the decree of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated December 03, 2020, KGNT Deputy Chief Engineer for Regulatory Affairs, Roman Romanovich Zaitsev, was awarded the KURMET Order!

Roman Romanovich Zaitsev is the Honorary Builder of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Honored Worker of the Oil and Gas Industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Veteran of Labor of the Republic of Kazakhstan, holder of the 120 years of Kazakhstan Oil Award Pin and the KAZENERGY Medal. For more than 60 years of his activity, the Knight of the KURMET Order Roman Romanovich has made a significant contribution to the development of the oil and gas and construction industries of the Republic, and, in particular, our Company, and to this day, from the height of his experience, he directs the young generation of oil and gas industry specialists on the way to solving complex engineering tasks.

The KURMET Order is a knightly order of Honor of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The KURMET Order is awarded to citizens for their significant contribution to the socio-economic and cultural development of the country, strengthening friendship and cooperation between peoples, and active social activities.

KGNT Values Ambassador Contest

From 9 October to 19 November, 2020, the Company held a KGNT Values Ambassador Contest, in which not only the employees of the Head Office, but also those located at other locations took part. To participate in the contest, the employees had to write or take a video on how the Company’s values help in work and personal life. At the end of the Contest, the Winner Selection Committee whose members were KGNT CEO Alexandra Bekisheva, Deputy General Director for Engineering Rustem Zhanzakov, Deputy General Director for Finance and Administration Ekaterina Yugai, Acting Director for Economics and Business Development Aydos Demisin, Chief Accountant Tatiana Tsoi and Managing Director for Innovation and Marketing Gennady Tarasov, selected five favorites by voting. Each of which became the honoured KGNT Values Ambassador.  According to fair voting results, by a unanimous decision, Ryskhan Zhumagulov won the main prize – an annual World Class Almaty pass.

Esmira Idoyadova took second place by vote counting. Shakhrina Makhametova took third place. Almira Sapargaliyeva and Nargiza Dosimbayeva became forth and fifth KGNT Values Ambassadors respectively.  All the works of the KGNT Values Ambassadors can be viewed on our corporate Instagram page.

After selecting the Winners, KGNT CEO Alexandra Bekisheva congratulated the KGNT Values Ambassadors in person and presented prizes to them.

KGNT employees took part in the development of the Atlas of New Professions

 

The portal of the Electronic Employment Agency (EEA) has published the Atlas of new Professions and Competencies in the Republic of Kazakhstan for 9 main sectors of the economy. According to the forecasts of the experts who compiled the Atlas, 239 new professions will appear, 129 will disappear, and 95 have undergone drastic changes in the future. KGNT employees took part in the development if the Atlas – experts in 3 industries: Oil and Gas, Energy and Construction.

 

The national project – Atlas of New Professions and Competencies in Demand in the Labor Market – was developed within the framework of the presidential election program “Wellbeing for all! Continuity. Justice. Progress” and proposals received during the national action “Birge “. The Atlas is aimed at improving results in the field of employment and work skills, increasing the relevance of training programs, training in organizations of technical and vocational education and higher educational institutions. ENGINEERING COMPANY KAZGIPRONEFTETRANS LLP regrets to inform that Salaheden Sartayev, KGNT Chief Engineering Officer – Chief Engineer, our mentor and guide, passed away on November 11 this year.

In 2020, Salaheden Sartayev celebrated 50th anniversary since the beginning of his engineering and design career.

Having graduated from Kazakh Polytechnic Institute, Almaty, with qualification as a Mechanical Engineer for machinery for metallurgical plants, he started his career at Norilsk ore mining and smelting plant as engineer, senior engineer, and head of team of processing department of Norilskproject Institute (Norilsk, Russia)

From 2012 till 2013, Mr. Sartayev held the position of EC KAZGIPRONEFTETRANS LLP OGFEI (Division of field infrastructure development) Director and managed of designing of oil and gas process and reforming facilities within the RoK and Central Asia republics, the coordination with engineering institutes in France, Germany, Belgium, USA, and China. Since June 2013 until 2018, he has been engaged into expertise production for all projects delivered by KGNT, for the better preparation of the following stages of approval of the State Regulatory Authorities.

Starting 2018, Salaheden Sartayev was appointed as KGNT Chief Engineering Officer – Chief Engineer and supervised the Company’s engineering unit.  In this position, Mr. Sartaev directly supervised the design of oil and gas-processing facilities in such projects as Construction of the first integrated gas chemical complex in the Atyrau region. Second phase (Polyethylene Production) and Construction of the first integrated gas chemical complex in the Atyrau region. Second phase (Gas Separation Unit and Product Pipelines) and many others.

Salaheden Sartayev’s merits are evidenced by the Qurmetti Qurılısşı (Honorary Builder) award by the Ministry of Industry and Infrastructure Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Qazaqstan Munayına 120 jıl (120 years of Kazakhstan oil) award pin by the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Salaheden Sartayev’s contribution to the success of KGNT is invaluable, and his authority among professionals in the oil and gas and energy sectors in the Republic of Kazakhstan, countries of far and near abroad is consolidated by his activities.

For KGNT, Salaheden Sartaevich was not only a leader of his profession, but also a mentor and friend, a very responsible and responsive colleague. He taught us to be devoted to our work and considerate of our closed ones.

We extend our deepest condolences to Salaheden Sartayev’s family members.

Experiencing an irreparable loss, we will cherish the fond memory of him.

On October 19 – 23, an annual medical examination was carried out for the employees of EC KGNT LLP head office in accordance with the order of the Acting Minister of National Economy of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated February 24, 2015 No. 128 “On approval of the Rules for conducting compulsory medical inspections “. A visit of doctors to KGNT office was arranged for the convenience of employees.

All safety measures and requirements were observed during the medical examination for the employees of KGNT head office.
