ENGINEERING COMPANY KAZGIPRONEFTETRANS LLP, as part of implementing the strategic plan to expand its activities and update the service package, re-registered the Category 1 Construction License for construction and installation works for technically and technologically complex industrial and civil facilities for its subsidiary – KGNT Construction LLP.

In order to ensure the sanitary and epidemiological well-being of the population in the region and as the transition to a remote work is complete, ENGINEERING COMPANY KAZGIPRONEFTETRANS LLP has developed a number of documents and recommendations for its employees to perform their job duties in a safe and efficient manner.

These measures were taken in order to transfer the employees to a remote work without compromising their physical and mental health while maintaining the Company’s full operating capacity.

Sustainable Development Guide

The global epidemiological and market conditions have forced businesses to face their weaknesses and unpreparedness for changes in crisis situations. Sustainable business development is one of the priorities for KAZGIRPONEFTETRANS ENGINEERING COMPANY LLP under such conditions. In this regard, the Company has updated the Sustainable Development Guide with amendments made to the Company’s actions in accordance with the forecast scenario by the time a quarantine was introduced on a step-by-step basis in the region.

The Company’s employees were assigned to a team responding to changes and circumstances arising from the outbreak of COVID-19. The Team includes HR Head, HSE Manager and QA Manager.

10.02.2020  A tripartite meeting of the company’s management with Mr. Zdeněk Zbytek, Chairman of the Board, CZET Consortium – Czech Energy Saving Technologies, and Mrs. Gulbazar Medieva, Doctor of Economics, Academy Member, Head of the Office of Scientific and Technological Development and STC, IGTIC – International Green Technologies & Investments Center, on strategic partnership and business cooperation took place at the of KGNT Almaty Headquarters. Following a landmark meeting, a strategic partnership memorandum was signed between KGNT and CZET.

The CZET Consortium includes 28 leading Czech companies that have rich international experience of world importance in the engineering, production of cutting-edge energy-saving technologies and turnkey construction of energy facilities or in the form of subcontracting, have declared their intention for long-term strategic cooperation with KGNT and are partners for joint execution of projects in Kazakhstan.

The scope of strategic partnership between the CZET Consortium and KGNT covers the following areas:

1) upgrading of existing coal-fired power plants and heating plants;

2) construction of cutting-edge gas and combined cycle power plants of small, medium and high power;

3) supply of cogeneration plants;

4) construction and upgrading of central boiler rooms or on coal, gas, fuel oil;

5) construction of cascade gas and electric boiler houses,

6) construction of cutting-edge treatment facilities and wastewater;

7) construction of stations for the processing of municipal, industrial waste and waste;

8) construction of substations, transmission networks of electricity and heat;

9) construction of other energy facilities, including those powered by solar, wind and biomass;

10) construction of those facilities in the oil and gas, petrochemical and other industries in Kazakhstan for which the Czech Republic has the appropriate technology.

KGNT on time fulfilled all the obligations under designer’s supervision of the construction of Advanced Oil Processing Complex for Atyrau Oil Refinery LLP

KGNT on time fulfilled all the obligations under designer’s supervision of the construction of Advanced Oil Processing Complex for Atyrau Oil Refinery LLP (Atyrau Refinery).

The project for the construction of Advanced Oil Processing Complex (AOPC) is the final stage of full revamping of the refinery. Advanced Oil Processing Complex Construction Project for Atyrau Refinery is executed as part of the implementation of activities, and is provided for by the State Program for the Enhanced Industrial and Innovative Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan, approved by the Technical Regulation on the requirements for emissions of harmful substances of motor vehicles in the Republic of Kazakhstan.

This complex is designed to process 2 million 400 thousand tons of raw materials (fuel oil, vacuum gas oil) per year. AOPC will increase the production of high-octane gasoline, aviation and diesel fuel. When refining 5.5 million tons of oil per year annually, the refinery will produce 1 million 745 thousand tons of motor gasoline, 1 million 640 thousand tons of diesel fuel, 244 thousand tons of jet fuel. All types of fuel will comply with the Euro-5 standard.

KGNT has successfully completed designer supervision on the project “Modernization of Compressor Equipment for Hot-Water Heat-Recovery Boiler at Atyrau Refinery”

KGNT has successfully completed designer supervision on the project “Modernization of Compressor Equipment for Hot-Water Heat-Recovery Boiler at Atyrau Refinery” for Atyrau Oil Refinery LLP.

The modernization provides for the following:

∙ Site preparation, including dismantling of existing facilities in the HRB building with connections, networks;

∙ Installation of Samsung Techwin SM5000 air compressor in the existing HRB building in a free area (reconstruction);

∙ Installation of a cooling unit (HZK-170 closed-circuit cooling tower) for circulating cooling of an air compressor (construction);

∙ Laying utilities with compressor and cooling tower hook-up;

∙ Putting the facility into operation.
