Geosteering: A Case Study in Kazakhstan

On October 24, 2024, members of KGNT Council of Young Specialists attended the workshop on Geosteering: A Case Study in Kazakhstan hosted by the Society of Petroleum Engineers SPE.

Diana Mendybaeva, Well Placement (GeoSteering) Engineer at ROGII, shared her experience and knowledge in this important field. The participants learned about modern geosteering approaches and technologies used in Kazakhstan, as well as key projects delivered here.

The event was sponsored by Chevron, ROGII and Rock Flow Dynamics, that highlights the importance and relevance of the topics discussed for the oil and gas industry.

The workshop was an excellent opportunity for young professionals to ask questions, exchange opinions and expand their knowledge in the field of geosteering, which will certainly contribute to their professional growth.

Сonference-exhibition GO DIGITAL EURASIA

KGNT officers attended the massive conference-exhibition ‘GO DIGITAL EURASIA’, which was hosted in Almaty on 16-17 October 2024. This is the largest platform for discussing future of digital technologies in Central Asia, where business and digital transformation leaders shared their experience and innovative solutions.

Over the two days of the event, over 700 delegates and 50 speakers discussed complex IT strategies, issues of optimizing business processes using AI and the development of cloud technologies in Kazakhstan. KGNT employees gained unique knowledge and inspiration for further development of digital technologies in the company.

CHARITY

To honour Senior Citizens’ Day, KGNT employees joined efforts to help those in particular need of support. Collected funds were used by the company’s employees to help a World War II Veteran and the nursing home ‘Shanyrak’.

KGNT maintains a warm relationship with Lidia Filippovna, a Great Patriotic War Veteran, having our employees visit her on a regular basis. Recently, members of the Young Professionals Council of KGNT brought her necessary food and gifts. Her sincere joy and gratitude became a real source of inspiration for us.

We also organised a visit to the Shanyrak nursing home, where we spent time with the elderly and presented them with heaters, ensuring warmth and comfort during cold days. Seeing smiles and grateful looks was incredibly touching and meaningful for each of us.

We sincerely thank everyone who took part in this important deed. Your support helps us to create an atmosphere of care and attention to the older generation, making it part of our corporate culture. Together we can bring even more warmth and kindness into their lives!

ALCOR BIMDAY 2024 CONFERENCE

The largest conference in the field of BIM – ALCOR BIMDAY 2024 – was recently held in Almaty, bringing together more than 200 experts and business representatives to discuss advanced solutions in the operation of infrastructure facilities. Participants learnt about the latest developments from leading companies such as HEXAGON and ETAP. The focus was on digital twins, energy consumption analysis and other innovations that contribute to better asset management lifecycle.

One of the participants of this significant event was Danara Rakhieva, Chief 3D Technology Specialist at KGNT. The knowledge and ideas gained will definitely be applied in our projects.
