Geosteering: A Case Study in Kazakhstan

On October 24, 2024, members of KGNT Council of Young Specialists attended the workshop on Geosteering: A Case Study in Kazakhstan hosted by the Society of Petroleum Engineers SPE.

Diana Mendybaeva, Well Placement (GeoSteering) Engineer at ROGII, shared her experience and knowledge in this important field. The participants learned about modern geosteering approaches and technologies used in Kazakhstan, as well as key projects delivered here.

The event was sponsored by Chevron, ROGII and Rock Flow Dynamics, that highlights the importance and relevance of the topics discussed for the oil and gas industry.

The workshop was an excellent opportunity for young professionals to ask questions, exchange opinions and expand their knowledge in the field of geosteering, which will certainly contribute to their professional growth.
