February the 23rd, 2024 there was a planned city-wide safety drill in Almaty city, involving the employees of our company. We are always prepared to act in emergencies and participate in training sessions to maintain a high level of awareness and responsibility. Thanks to the joint efforts of KGNT employees and the Civil Protection Headquarters, the training evacuation was successful.
On February 16th Atyrau hosted the 1st International PetroPolymers & PetroChemicals Forum dedicated to the petrochemical industry and the polymer market of Kazakhstan. The Forum was organised by Petrocouncil Oil & Gas Council, with the support of NC KazMunayGas JSC and the National Chamber of Entrepreneurs of the Republic of Kazakhstan “Atameken”. A KGNT delegation headed by Mr Demesin Aidos Orazbayuly, Managing Director for Economics and Business Development, actively participated in the Forum.
Speeches and presentations were held during the plenary sessions of the Forum by managers and leading specialists of major domestic and international companies in the petrochemical industry – JSC NC QazagGaz, KPI LLP, ANPZ, Tatneft PJSC, GPC Investment LLP, Chevron Eurasian Division, as well as a number of Kazakhstani enterprises, who presented the ongoing projects and shared successful solutions to various issues encountered.
A notable feature of the Forum was the discussion of pressing issues of creating new projects involving small and medium-sized businesses, formation and development of a minor industrial zone for processing of domestic polypropylene, polymer processing projects, EPC-projects, construction of GPPs, and prospects for further expansion of the Special Economic Zone “National Industrial Petrochemical Technopark” (SEZ “NINT”).
In total, more than 600 representatives of 420 companies from all regions of Kazakhstan, as well as from Europe, China, Turkey, and CIS countries took part in the Forum.
At a guest lecture held at KBTU, KGNT Junior Process Engineer, Zarema Ibragimova presented her professional experience to the students and discussed the ways her studies in Chemical Engineering of Organic Substances at KBTU prepared her to work in the industry. She expressed the importance of continuous learning and skill development, which helps her to successfully overcome challenges in her profession.
Furthermore, Zarema shared her personal achievements and successes inspiring students to strive to achieve high goals. Thanks to Zarema for striving for new knowledge and development! 💼🎓
