ENGINEERING COMPANY KAZGIPRONEFTETRANS LLP regrets to inform that Salaheden Sartayev, KGNT Chief Engineering Officer – Chief Engineer, our mentor and guide, passed away on November 11 this year.

In 2020, Salaheden Sartayev celebrated 50th anniversary since the beginning of his engineering and design career.

Having graduated from Kazakh Polytechnic Institute, Almaty, with qualification as a Mechanical Engineer for machinery for metallurgical plants, he started his career at Norilsk ore mining and smelting plant as engineer, senior engineer, and head of team of processing department of Norilskproject Institute (Norilsk, Russia)

From 2012 till 2013, Mr. Sartayev held the position of EC KAZGIPRONEFTETRANS LLP OGFEI (Division of field infrastructure development) Director and managed of designing of oil and gas process and reforming facilities within the RoK and Central Asia republics, the coordination with engineering institutes in France, Germany, Belgium, USA, and China. Since June 2013 until 2018, he has been engaged into expertise production for all projects delivered by KGNT, for the better preparation of the following stages of approval of the State Regulatory Authorities.

Starting 2018, Salaheden Sartayev was appointed as KGNT Chief Engineering Officer – Chief Engineer and supervised the Company’s engineering unit.  In this position, Mr. Sartaev directly supervised the design of oil and gas-processing facilities in such projects as Construction of the first integrated gas chemical complex in the Atyrau region. Second phase (Polyethylene Production) and Construction of the first integrated gas chemical complex in the Atyrau region. Second phase (Gas Separation Unit and Product Pipelines) and many others.

Salaheden Sartayev’s merits are evidenced by the Qurmetti Qurılısşı (Honorary Builder) award by the Ministry of Industry and Infrastructure Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Qazaqstan Munayına 120 jıl (120 years of Kazakhstan oil) award pin by the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Salaheden Sartayev’s contribution to the success of KGNT is invaluable, and his authority among professionals in the oil and gas and energy sectors in the Republic of Kazakhstan, countries of far and near abroad is consolidated by his activities.

For KGNT, Salaheden Sartaevich was not only a leader of his profession, but also a mentor and friend, a very responsible and responsive colleague. He taught us to be devoted to our work and considerate of our closed ones.

We extend our deepest condolences to Salaheden Sartayev’s family members.

Experiencing an irreparable loss, we will cherish the fond memory of him.
