IT INFRASTRUCTURE
ENGINEERING COMPANY KAZGIPRONEFTETRANS LLP (KGNT) continuously strives for excellence and improvement in the quality of the services provided by introducing state-of-the-art technologies. In recent years, the company has successfully implemented and have used a number of products and solutions, among which are the modern, highly efficient and scalable platform which uses virtualization and clustering technology. By means of it, the calculation capacities of the company cover all operational needs of the company.
Production data and services protection is the key element of continuity and safety of business operations. In KGNT the backup of business-critical data is performed in accordance with a clear regulated procedure, with the use of equipment and software of such companies as HP and CommVault. Our server room is fully equipped and meets all the safety requirements. In addition, a modern, highly efficient, safe, scalable and reliable data network built on Cisco Systems equipment, which is a reliable platform for corporate applications and data, has been implemented. The standby power system established for the Company building provides uninterpretable power supply of the office. The system uses equipment of global leaders in the industry such as Wilson (UK) and Elit (Italy).
Mobility and communication of personnel is the basic premise for prompt and effective results of works performed.
The implemented system of IP telephony and video conference communication allowed us to take the communication to the next level. The system is built on equipment and software products of Cisco, Polycom and Microsoft.
In order to improve the productivity, we use a highly efficient system of project documentation issuance of Japanese company KIP, which allows us to issue and automatically execute around 400 sheets of A0 format within an hour. Also, there area network printers on each level of the building which are capable of printing A3-format documents.
The Company works towards effective and safe storage of any type of data, including that in hard copy. To achieve this, KGNT has a dedicated archive room equipped with modern means, fire-suppression system, mobile shelves and filing cabinets.
Safety is one of the company’s basic development directions. For this purpose, indoor and outdoor video surveillance systems have been installed. The systems allow to ensure control over the situation, procedure, personnel and visitors safety, safe-keeping of tangible assets and information. Also, such modern building access control system protects from unauthorized entry and allows for entrance control, personnel and visitors movement. The installed fire alarm and PA system provide personnel safety in an emergency.
ELECTRONIC DOCUMENT CONTROL SYSTEM OF THE COMPANY
To establish information management system, the Company has created a corporate portal on Microsoft SharePoint 2016 platform. The corporate portal allows the Company to provide easy access to various information such as documents, databases, scanned copies of documents, various types of media content.
The portal also provides safe storage and restricted access to information. Information processing and analysis as well as automation of the enterprise’s business processes allow the Company to significantly simplify the data handling processes, reducing the employees’ time expenditures and ensuring a better quality of their work.
PROJECT MANAGEMENT TOOLS
Project management is performed using Microsoft Project 2016, Oracle Primavera P6 Professional Project Management and IMS (Information Management & Safety System) software. Primavera и Project are software products that are used for project management and control, keeping track of resources, materials and equipment used for the project.
To manage the data on all operational levels within established business processes, KGNT IT-specialists have developed a software program named IMS. The program allows the Company to link all the essential planning, accounting, monitoring and design processes together. Various reports allow to track documents in any phase of a project. This program is a proprietary product of the Company.
APPLICATION SOFTWARE PRODUCTS
In its activities the Company uses software of world leading vendors such as Microsoft, Autodesk, Bentley, Adobe, Corel and its proprietary solutions.
Open Value Subscription agreement has been signed with Microsoft which allows to optimize total software licensing costs and to gain access to the extended functionality of Microsoft enterprise products. This agreement enables the Company to use any quantity of various Microsoft software at any given time.
The project teams of the Company use approximately 192 licenses of Autodesk products, including those for 3D engineering;

The total number of licensed software used by KGNT for business purposes is 3172 licenses.
