KGNT meets Czech delegation
KGNT welcomed the Czech delegation at its HQ in Almaty. The Company’s representatives met with guests from the Trade and Economics Department of the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Kazakhstan – Petr Jurčík, Director of the CzechTrade in Almaty, and representatives of leading companies – I.B.C. Prague spol. s.r.o., Rubena, s.r.o., GDI Technology, s.r.o. During the meeting, each company made their presentations, and topics of interaction and cooperation were discussed.
KGNT representatives thanked the guests for their visit and interest in KGNT, and also expressed interest in further cooperation with potential suppliers of high-tech equipment for the projects being delivered by the Company and the possibility of financing by Czech banks. After the official part of the meeting was finished, 3D engineering technologies of various production and civil facilities designed by KGNT were demonstrated to the guests in a specialized VR room.
ALMATY HALF MARATHON 2024
We are proud of our team! 🎉🏃♂️🏃♀️ KGNT employees showed outstanding athletic skills at the Almaty Half Marathon 2024! 🌟🏅 This marathon is not only a test of physical endurance, but also our opportunity to unite and achieve great results! Our KGNT RUNNING TEAM took 17th place out of 53 teams in the 21 km Ekiden relay (01:50:07), and we also had:
2 participants in 10 km Nordic walking,
1 participant in 21 km running, and
11 participants in 10 km running.
We thank each participant for their determination, perseverance and dedication to their goals.
We continue to move forward and inspire others!

KGNT meets Globuc
On 03/15/2024, KGNT Headquarters hosted a meeting of its Management and specialists with the organizers of the 11th annual conference “Downstream Central Asia and Caspian” – British company Globuc which specializes in top-level business events in energy transition, petrochemistry and digital transformation. The conference will be held in Astana on September 18-19th, 2024, and, as last year’s summit will be combined with a special focus day “Hydrogen Production in Central Asia and the Caspian” dedicated to the development of hydrogen in projects of the region. KGNT is a traditional partner and a regular participant in the summit.
This is a landmark international event in the oil and gas, petrochemical, and other industries, setting the main agenda for the entire industry.
The forum gathers a large number of participants, including major market players, the Ministry of Energy, engineering companies, and others.
The parties discussed strategic issues of the upcoming event, such as the subject of the summit, the format of participation, and presentations by KGNT representatives on hydrogen energy and strengthening the role of Kazakhstani engineering in construction projects.
Following the meeting, the parties agreed to coordinate and cooperate closely and make every effort to implement this event successfully.

Earthquake Awareness and Preparedness Drill
February the 23rd, 2024 there was a planned city-wide safety drill in Almaty city, involving the employees of our company. We are always prepared to act in emergencies and participate in training sessions to maintain a high level of awareness and responsibility. Thanks to the joint efforts of KGNT employees and the Civil Protection Headquarters, the training evacuation was successful.
International PetroPolymers & PetroChemicals Forum
On February 16th Atyrau hosted the 1st International PetroPolymers & PetroChemicals Forum dedicated to the petrochemical industry and the polymer market of Kazakhstan. The Forum was organised by Petrocouncil Oil & Gas Council, with the support of NC KazMunayGas JSC and the National Chamber of Entrepreneurs of the Republic of Kazakhstan “Atameken”. A KGNT delegation headed by Mr Demesin Aidos Orazbayuly, Managing Director for Economics and Business Development, actively participated in the Forum.
Speeches and presentations were held during the plenary sessions of the Forum by managers and leading specialists of major domestic and international companies in the petrochemical industry – JSC NC QazagGaz, KPI LLP, ANPZ, Tatneft PJSC, GPC Investment LLP, Chevron Eurasian Division, as well as a number of Kazakhstani enterprises, who presented the ongoing projects and shared successful solutions to various issues encountered.
A notable feature of the Forum was the discussion of pressing issues of creating new projects involving small and medium-sized businesses, formation and development of a minor industrial zone for processing of domestic polypropylene, polymer processing projects, EPC-projects, construction of GPPs, and prospects for further expansion of the Special Economic Zone “National Industrial Petrochemical Technopark” (SEZ “NINT”).
In total, more than 600 representatives of 420 companies from all regions of Kazakhstan, as well as from Europe, China, Turkey, and CIS countries took part in the Forum.
Visiting lecture
At a guest lecture held at KBTU, KGNT Junior Process Engineer, Zarema Ibragimova presented her professional experience to the students and discussed the ways her studies in Chemical Engineering of Organic Substances at KBTU prepared her to work in the industry. She expressed the importance of continuous learning and skill development, which helps her to successfully overcome challenges in her profession.
Furthermore, Zarema shared her personal achievements and successes inspiring students to strive to achieve high goals. Thanks to Zarema for striving for new knowledge and development! 💼🎓
