Seismic training
7 June 2024, an off-schedule safety drill was successfully performed in KGNT Almaty office building. Given the importance of the event, our personnel and visitors followed the instructions, abandoned the premises and were escorted to a safe place as per the evacuation plan.
Drill evacuation is an important, critical and challenging event in the safety system. Regular evacuation drills allow us to consolidate behavioural skills in case of an earthquake, fire and ensure readiness to quickly and safely abandon the building in case of emergencies.
Safety of employees is our top priority!

Accreditation for Technical Supervision Engineering Service Extended
30.05.2024 KGNT extended its accreditation and received the Accreditation Certificate for Technical Supervision Engineering Services at Technically and Technologically Complex facilities of the First Level of Criticality from the authorized body – the Committee for Construction, Housing and Utilities of the Ministry of Industry and Construction of the Republic of Kazakhstan in accordance with the Order Minister of National Economy of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated November 23, 2015 No. 709 On Approval of the Rules and Permitting Requirements for the Accreditation of Organizations Providing Technical Supervision Engineering Services at Technically and Technologically Complex facilities of the First Level of Criticality.
Accreditation is extended for 2 years till May 30, 2026.
PM Soft project management workshop
KGNT team members attended the Project Management Days workshop held by PMSOFT representative office in Kazakhstan. Program of the event included key trends in project management, review of international standards, project budgeting peculiarities for industrial holdings and much more. Emphasis was given to 4D-5D modeling and cost optimization in managing complex projects. This new acquired knowledge inspires us for continued achievements! 🌟
Seismic training
On May 21, 2024, a planned citywide seismic training took place in Almaty, in which KGNT employees took part.
The main goal of seismic training is to increase the level of training of Company employees to act in the event of an emergency.
Thanks to the joint efforts of our employees and the Civil Protection headquarters, the seismic training was successful.
KGNT and International Green Technologies & Investments Center Representatives Meeting
KGNT Head Office hosted a meeting between KGNT’s Management and the Chairman of the Board of NJSC International Green Technologies & Investments Center (Center) Didar Karimsakov. During the meeting, comprehensive issues of cooperation in the field of green technologies were discussed for the design of construction projects in the oil and gas, petrochemical and energy industries, improvement and efficiency of processes, transfer and training of advanced technologies and know-how, as well as further participation of KGNT in meetings of the Scientific and Technical Council. Didar Karimsakov expressed gratitude to KGNT for its hospitality and expressed confidence in the further strengthening of mutually beneficial cooperation.
The Center was created by the Decree of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated April 27, 2018, was presented to the world community on May 17, 2018 during the AEF Global Challenges Summit 2018 and is one of the anchor initiatives in the field of green technologies of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The Center promotes green technologies and supports business to improve the competitiveness of the economy, the quality of life of the population and reduce the negative impact on the environment.
The Center’s main areas of activity are the development of renewable and alternative energy sources, creation of a waste management system, the sustainable use of water resources, reducing the negative impact on the environment, energy saving and increasing energy efficiency, careful and effective management of ecosystems.

KGNT Celebrates 50 Years of Success
On this day, May 20, 1974, 50 years ago a Special Design Bureau (SDB) was created at Kazglavneftesnab by order of the Council of Ministers of the Kazakh SSR. Over the course of half a century, our Company has grown from a small design bureau into a recognized leader in the oil and gas industry in Kazakhstan, actively developing partnerships and cooperation with the global leading companies.
Over its long history, KGNT has designed and commissioned more than 1,800 facilities in the oil, gas and energy industries. Our Company is constantly developing its production base, human resources and design, project management and engineering processes.
In recent years, the functionality of KGNT has been significantly expanded in terms of both downstream, midstream and upstream, offshore oil and gas infrastructure, and the mining industry. We have delivered numerous large-scale projects, among those are TCO Future Growth Project/ Pressure Management Project (FGP-WPMP), NCOC Kashagan Field Development, KPO Karachaganak Expansion Project, Total Dunga Field Phase 3 Project, The Integrated Gas Chemical Complex in Atyrau Oblast. Polyethylene Production, Atyrau Refinery, Pavlodar Oil Chemistry Refinery and Shymkent Refinery Upgrading and Revamping Projects, and others. These projects not only contributed to the development of our employees and the growth of our company, but also made a significant contribution to the economy of our country.
We stand on the threshold of new challenges and opportunities. Today, KGNT faces new challenges, because the Company has expanded its scope of activities and geography of projects, becoming one of the most powerful brainwork of the business in the country. The path we have traveled gives us confidence that together we can overcome any obstacles and reach new heights.

May 9 – Victory Day
May 9 is a bright holiday of heroism, patriotism, peace and unity. The greatness of the feat accomplished on the battlefields and the labor front will never be erased from people’s memory. Representatives of ENGINEERING COMPANY KAZGIPRONEFTETRANS LLP’s team, in honor of the 79th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War, honored the memory of the fallen defenders of the Fatherland, veterans and laid flowers in the 28 Panfilov Guardsmen Park at the Eternal Flame in front of the Glory Memorial.
